How To Use Isharesoft Video Converter

It certainly is true that there are lots of different video formats on the web, such as AVI, WMV, VOB, MP4,MPEG, FLV…, and different format of videos can only play on different devices or players. We don’t know exactly which format of video can play on certain player, it’s always got us confused. How could we do to convert general videos for playback on different multimedia devices?

To simplify this question, i recommend you use iSharesoft Video Converter to convert any format of video to fit your player, here is the step-to-step tutorial shows you how to complete the conversion.

Step 1: Install and run the iSharesoftware iSharesoft Video Converter Ultimate.

Step 2: Add files. Click Add File(s) button on the toolbar, select video or audio files you want to convert in the dialog box that opens, and add them into the file list.

Step 3: Select output format. Choose one or more files in the file list, and open Profile drop-down list, then select an output format for selected files. You can also set different formats for different files.

Tip: To adjust the output settings, click Profile Settings button on the right of interface, and set the parameters .

Step 4: Set output folder. Click Browse button in the settings panel, select a destination folder in the dialog box that opens, and click OK.

Step 5: Convert file. After finishing the above settings, check the files needed to convert in the file list, and click Convert Checked Item(s) button on the toolbar to start converting. You can view the progress from the progress bar at the bottom of the window.

Tip: Click Pause Checked Item(s) button to pause the converting process and Stop Checked Item(s) button to cancel the process as required.

 

More usage skills

1. Clip video segment. The software provides you with clip tool to extract the segment you like from the source. Select a video/audio file in the file list, click Edit button on the toolbar and choose Clip option to open clip window.

Click Play button to play the selected file. When it comes to the very start point you want, click Set Start Point button to set it as start point. And when it comes to the end point you want, click Set End Point button to set it as end point.

Tip: You can drag the slider or enter the time value you want in the Start and End textbox to adjust the start and end point.

Then click OK button to return to the main interface.

2. Crop area size

Select the file you want to edit from the file list, and click Edit button on the toolbar and choose Effect option to open Effect window. Click Crop button in the left window to open crop setting panel.

Check Enable Crop check box.

Set Crop Area Size: Click the up and down arrow to adjust the height and width of the crop area. If you check Keep Aspect Ratio check box, the height and width will be changed proportionally.

Set Position of Crop Area: Click the up and down arrow of Left Margin and Top Margin to adjust the left margin and top margin of the crop area.

Tips: Click Restore Defaults button, to restore the default settings.
You can also adjust the crop area by dragging the central and surrounding handles in the preview window to adjust the crop area.

3. Add and adjust effects

Select the file you want to edit from the file list, and click Edit button on the toolbar and choose Effect option to open Effect window, then click Effect button in the left window to go to the effect setting panel.

Check Enable Effect check box.
Set Brightness: click and drag brightness control slider or enter a value in the Brightness textbox to set the brightness of the video.
Set Contrast: click and drag contrast control slider or enter a value in the Contrast textbox to set the contrast of the video.
Set Saturation: click and drag saturation control slider or enter a value in the Saturation textbox to set the saturation of the video.
Set Other Effects: choose an effect for the output video from the Other Effects drop down list.

Tip: Click Restore Defaults button, to restore the default settings.

4. Create watermark

Select the file you want to edit from the file list, and click Edit button on the toolbar and choose Effect option to open Effect window. Click Watermark button in the left window to open watermark setting panel, then check Enable Watermark checkbox.

Add text watermark
Click Add Text Watermark option.
Enter the text for watermark.

Adjust the watermark options as below:
Set watermark Transparence: drag watermark transparence control slider to set the transparence of the watermark, or enter a number to set watermark transparence in the Transparence textbox. 

Add picture watermark

Click Add Picture Watermark option.
Click Browse button, and select a picture or video for the watermark from the windows that opens.

Adjust the watermark options as below:
Set watermark Transparence: drag watermark transparence control slider to set the transparence of the watermark, or enter a number to set watermark transparence in the Transparence textbox.
Set watermark Vertical Position: drag watermark vertical control slider to set the vertical position of the watermark, or enter a number to set watermark vertical position in the Vertical Position textbox.
Set watermark Horizontal Position: drag watermark horizontal control slider to set the horizontal position of the watermark, or enter a number to set watermark horizontal position in the Horizontal Position textbox.
Set Watermark Size: type the wanted value or click the up and down arrow to adjust the height and width of the watermark size. If you want to keep the aspect ratio, then check Keep Aspect Ratio check box.

Tips:
Click Restore Defaults button, to restore the default settings.
You can also adjust the vertical and horizontal position of the watermark by dragging the green lines in the preview window, to set the position of the watermark.
After editing the video effect, you can click “Comparing Preview” button at the right-bottom of the preview window to preview the original and fixed frames at the same time for comparing.

5. Merge any video into the whole one

Choose the video file and click “Merge” button on the toolbar to merge any video file you want to unite, and output them as the whole one.

6. Add profile for the same video file

Select the video and click the “Add Profile” to set multiple output formats for one files simultaneity, and you can get several video formats for your different players.

7. Custom output size.

To custom output size, select the video file and click Tools >Bitrate Calculator, and input the file size to get exact video file.

Set watermark Vertical Position: drag watermark vertical control slider to set the vertical position of the watermark, or enter a number to set watermark vertical position in the Vertical Position textbox. 

Set watermark Horizontal Position: drag watermark horizontal control slider to set the horizontal position of the watermark, or enter a number to set watermark horizontal position in the Horizontal Position textbox.

Set watermark Font Style: click Setting button, and set font style in the Choose Font dialog box that opens.
